never say never :)
It may be lame, but it'll still be pretty cool to see him live.
Wish I would actually get off my ass one day, stop talking or thinking about how awesome it would be, but just go out and attend one of these concerts.
Hm Bruno Mars was tonight, I think Maroon 5 is coming too.
I heard Justin Bieber still has tickets left over.
So sad.
Imagine the whole stadium being surrounded by just hysterical screaming teenaged girls.
Haha that'll be funny.
Imagine if there were actually GUYS!
HAHA totally lose face if they were photographed into the newspapers or blog sites.
Hahaha
I would like probably kick myself if I saw a big manly guy in the crowd, singing to Justin Bieber.
HAHA

The perfect cat for Voldemort
Hey. A cat lover?
Want to own one?
Suuuuuuuuuuuuuure.
Here you go, this one's having a tough time finding a home.
With good reason, no doubt. lol funniest thing I've ever seen
So the story goes, there's a specific white cat living in Southampton at the moment and sadly looking for a warm home to take him in. However, Charlie just seems to be really unlucky I guess when it comes to finding the perfect cat lover. Well, if it looked like this, who could blame anyone?
I give you, the feline version of the greatly feared Lord Voldemort.
(from Harry Potter, for people who don't read).
You have to admit, the resemblance is pretty uncanny.
I get goosebumps, just staring at it long enough.
It makes Lord Voldemort look waaaay less scary.
Oh yeah. Apparently, Charlie had some infection or something that caused doctors to remove his ears, hence, the creepy He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named appearance. Definitely in the freaky category.
Poor cat tho. But I'm a dog person either way, so more power to Beethoven! (the awesomest St. Bernard ever) :)

hee hee
Found this posted on a friend's fb status and thought it was funny.
Here's a perfect example of someone who probably spent a lot of time thinking about this instead of doing something more productive in life. Nevertheless, I find it super entertaining. Very cleverly written.
Dear Parents:
Jasmine was in a relationship with a dirty homeless boy named Aladdin. Snow White lived alone with 7 men. Pinnochio was a liar. Robin Hood was a thief. Tarzan walked around without clothes on. A stranger kissed sleeping beauty and she married him. Cinderella lied and snuck out at night to attend a party.
So really, you can't blame us. We were taught to rebel since a young age.
On a side note, Taylor Swift's World Tour which kicks off first in Singapore is happening right now :(
I wonder how it's going. Anyone with pictures or videos, do drop me a link please
:) I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Taylor Swift

beware of them ninja mosquitoes
Just a couple of hours ago, I was watching tv with my sister when I subconsciously rubbed my right eye.
After like a minute, I noticed my eye had started to feel... odd.
I could feel like exudate (? is that the correct term?) like slowly gathering at my eye.
It felt really strange so I got up and looked in the mirror and noticed the inner part of my eye, which is the small white section medial to my retina was slightly dark reddish.
Then in a few minutes, my eye started to get swollen!
I panicked and called my sisters to check it out.
Lena's first response was 'Wait two minutes. I'm watching something very interesting.' Haha idiot.
Lena's the only like certified working doctor in the house now, so I guess it makes sense that we all look to her for medical advice now. Because before, we always looked to my dad and what he said was law. I trust him completely. However, for the other Dr. Ngu or Ms. Ngu whatever, err.. let's just say.. I still trust my daddy more ;-) hahaha
Anyway, the final verdict for the possible cause, was that there was a mosquitoe bite right under my eye -.-
Which is probably what caused my eye to swell up and feel all funny.
Either that or some foreign material got in there while I was rubbing it -.-
The question I want to know is, what kind of invisible black-belted ninja flying mosquitoe managed to bite me while I was awake?! I was just lying there, watching tv when it happened. Freaking ninja mosquitoes -.-
So now, my right eye is slightly swollen -.- it made me realize how inner beauty reaaaaallly plays a major role in life. haha it was that bad. Thankfully, the swelling's gradually going down so hopefully by tomorrow, it'll be gone. Sighs the one time I forgot to pack my eyedrops in my luggage. Oh wells.

the mother of all splinters
so I was walking along happily one day when my foot rubbed against something that felt like a thorn
bloody hell I looked down and saw a tiny chunk of broken wood, sticking out of the bottom of my foot -.-
jumping into GA mode, I start thinking:
Okay how the hell do I fix it?
What first?
Plaster!
No. Need to clean it first
Hm. So what?
Swab! Where the heck is the alcohol swab?
Hm. What else?
Maybe a tweezer too. To remove whatever's still stuck inside.
So there I am, clumsily hopping around my kitchen, looking for a simple plaster and a swab.
Both, of which, were mysteriously well hidden in the multitudes of drawers and cabinets -.-
Finally! When I got everything ready, I sat down and prepped for surgery (I'm on holiday so let me have my fun. Leave me alone. And shaddap JSE. I know you're laughing.)
To cut a not-very-long and not-as-exciting-as-I-hoped-it-to-be story short, I got the crap of wood out easily enough. It was huge, I repeat, HUGE!
Judge for yourself.
I still have nightmares.

CPR 101
Today during my CPR lecture:
Doctor: What do you do if the person who fainted has really big breasts? Like if she was a Westerner.
[no doubt acknowledging the abundant blessing that God probably forgot to add to Asian women ;P]
Me: You press harder!
Doctor: No not really. Anyone else?
Me: Oohh, you push it aside! Like... you clear the way. So you just.. yeah push them aside!
Doctor: Correct! Here you go!
This is what I got. So awesome!
I wanted it since I saw the EMT people demonstrate how to use it. So cool. Hee hee.
Actually the EMT lady sitting next to me, told me if I answered his questions correctly, I could get it that's why I answered.
Otherwise, I usually act like part of the wallpaper in lectures. Eric got the other one. (There were two).
His Question:
Doctor: What do you do about the bra of the lady? You can't put the sticky pads of the AED on the bra. So what do you do?
Eric: *high pitch yell* TAKE IT OFF!!!
[no doubt he understood the game now and probably noticed that there was only one mouth mask left on the table ;P]
hahaha apparently, it was correct.
P.S. it's a mask for when you breathe into the mouth of the person who fainted, you won't contract anything like HIV especially if the person is bleeding or has ulcers or whatever.
Hence, it's more hygienic and safer. I gonna carry it wherever I go. :D

Unexpected inspiration
Was watching season 6 of Grey's Anatomy earlier, and it kinda spoke to me.And it's not just about the sex, love triangles and other plots written just to grab the attention of viewers but.. the fact that a doctor having the power to determine his patient's future, which door his patient enters metaphorically.
It really struck a chord with me.In the medical world, there's always only two exits, life and death.Watching the show just made me see that, every decision a doctor makes, is crucial in the recovery of his patient.
One mistake, and it all goes to hell.
This is probably one of the best tv shows ever, in my opinion.A little exaggerated and a little dramatic here and there but, yeah.
It makes me laugh, cry, sad, happy all in 40+ minutes.
It makes me want to pursue my studies even harder, just so one day, I can get the chance to hold a patient's life in my hands too.
To be honest, just the idea of it scares me to death. But, at the same time, it's really exciting. At least it inspired to do some revision.
Dr. Meredith Grey: After all this time, all your warnings about me sleeping with my boss and you're doing the same exact thing.
Dr. Cristina Yang: Oh, it's not the same thing. Dr. Meredith Grey: It's the exact same!
Dr. Cristina Yang: No, it's not. You and McDreamy are in a relationship.
Dr. Meredith Grey: And you and Burke are in?
Dr. Cristina Yang: Switzerland. It's very neutral there and they make very nice watches.
IZZIE: "I wouldn't have called you, but I can't get hold of a translator. Can you just ask her what's wrong?"
CRISTINA: "No."
IZZIE: "Why not?"
CRISTINA: "I grew up in Beverly Hills. The only Chinese I know is from a Mr. Chow's menu. Besides, I'm Korean."
CRISTINA: "No."

taking a dump
Haha was sitting in a hair saloon at my mum's friend's place, just minding my own business reading a magazine and listening to the hairstylist talk to her friend/customer, who was sitting in the chair next to me.
It took me a while to realize the topic of their conversation because they were conversing in chinese as my chinese is a bit rusty.
They were telling each other how often they took a dump.
.........
If that wasn't enough, they were describing it in detail as well.
.........
In. Explicit. Detail.
I was so shocked I'm surprised none of my loose hair flew into my mouth.
No. Joke.
It was so funny I felt the need to share it with the world. Hence, I posted it on fmylife.
Hopefully, it made someone else's day as well.
